Yewande Milligan

Yewandé Milligan, age 23 a young corporate official with a mind filled with several dreams and aspirations. One of which is the desire to become a sought after model. From the age of 9 she had garnered the interests to be in front of the camera; posing away in front her mirrors and strutting imaginary runways.
With the said desire and support of friends and family she entered her Prep School pageant; even though she did not place the dream was still alive within her; from watch project Runway to setting a reminder to watch the Victoria Secret Angels strut like their life depended on it.

Though life got a bit preoccupied with educational endeavors and low self esteem increased Ms. Milligan further set aside her dreams of ever walking a runway again. It wasn’t until her Role Model Davina Bennett (Ms Jamaica Universe 2017) graced her presence on her TV screen; it cracked open the door and reignited the interest of ever walking a runway and enlightening a camera lens ever again. And without a doubt she started to seize what ever opportunity she could with the busy life she had. From walking in a bridal Boutique expo in 2019 to turning every picture taking opportunity into a photoshoot.

Now her dreams have led her to audition a second time for Jamaica’s WCOPA team with the hopes of gaining a medal and exposure, but also to grow on the craft and gain lessons from this journey.
