Liberty Learning Centre Drumming Ensemble

 A dynamic and vibrant group of young percussionists, aged 9-14, representing the rhythmic heartbeat of Jamaica! 🎶 Trained by esteemed instructors Mark Knibb and former Kingston Drummers’ key player Keino Barnett, these talented drummers have honed their skills through years of captivating performances at school functions, community events, and prestigious national festivals, including the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s Festival of the Performing Arts.

With infectious energy and precision, they bring to life the spirited beats of the djembe, kette, congo, and dun dun drums, complemented by the versatility of trapsets and steelpan. But it doesn’t stop there—this multi-talented ensemble also features extraordinary dancers, weaving a mesmerizing tapestry of sound and movement that celebrates the rich rhythms of our Jamaican heritage.Whether performing as a thunderous whole, intimate trios, or showcasing quartets, the LLC Drumming group dazzles with versatility. Their individual talents shine astoundingly, each performer a star in his own right. Over the years, they’ve been honoured with Gold and National Gold awards at the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s Festival of the Performing Arts and on several occasions, topping their age categories; a testament to their dedication and artistry.Having graced national television as a highlight of Children’s Day, and with Liberty Learning Centre proudly judged as the *Top Performing Arts School in the parish of St. Mary, Jamaica*, this ensemble is eager to share their passion and cultural pride with local and international audiences.
