Jordan Colquehoun

I am Jordan Colquehoun, a 25 year old multi-potentialist and a industrious human being. Hailing from the Parish of Manchester, Jamaica W.I, where I was taught by my parents to be a disciplinarian, hardworking , optimistic, resilient individual, and a believer of God.  I always embodied good morals and values growing up as a child as I grew up in the country area in Mandeville- Manchester. I was always the tallest anomaly amongst my family and friends. As long as I could remember, I always dreamt of becoming a household name, a brand, Super Model,  Singer (vocalist), an Athlete ( Pro Basket-baller ), a Movie Star, Entrepreneur and a Philanthropist.

As a illustrious alumni of the Manchester High School and The University Of The West Indies, I stand firm on the mottos:

"Sic Luceat Lux (let your light shine)" and "Occidente Lux (Light Rising from the west)", which are foundations of my confidence and perseverance. Apart from pursuing a professional career in becoming a Super Model, an Artiste (singer, songwriter and musician), and an Athlete Basket-baller and Track and Field Star, I enjoy dancing, being engulfed with nature, activism, mentorship, life coaching (to motivate/inspire) and ultimately helping others be the best versions of themselves through my character and passion.

Throughout my years as a Student-Leader, I was a Student Council Representative, a Sports Captain, held an Executive Body position on community outreach society, a member of the school's debate team, Youth President of my church and an Assistant Co-ordinator for Duhaney Park Primary School. I was also a representative at the U.W.I, Mona Climate Action Team, in focus at the COP26 Summit of the Global University Consortium in Partnership with the Tourism Board (Hon. Edmund Bartlett) at the University of The West Indies, Regional Office Headquarters. I was also an Awardee at the Imperial Optical Jamaica Ltd (10th Central Jamaica) Youth Leadership awards ceremony.

The philosophies that keeps me grounded and confident are: "I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me", and "The race is not for the swift, nor battle for the strong, but those that can endure to the end".

My mantras that guide and strengthen my mental fortitude, inspiring me to become the first super tall-Super Model and a Vocalist out of Jamaica are:
1.Confidence is Key to Open the Doors to my destiny.
2. Un Día a la vez meaning "one day at a time"
3. Beauty is not only in the eyes of the beholder, beauty is also in the eyes of the heart.
4. Even though my reality is bounded by visible limitations, my dreams and hopes are filled with endless possibilities".
 

My Aim in this world is to let my light shine which inevitably give others the audacious and unapologetic permission to do the same.
