Raneka Lee

​My name is Raneka Lee, a very vibrant out going young lady from the cool cool hills of Flower Hill, in the parish of St James.

 

There was a point in my life when I valued my talent less than important, and only explored it as a hobby. It was a case where I knew I had a voice and I could hold a note, but never thought anything of it, further. At first, even though I grew up singing in church, it wasn’t my passion. As I got older, I started to explore music, and used my voice more often. I then developed a passion for it, and I started to explore it as a career.

I then took a big step in my life, and decided to enter the Digicel Rising Stars  ( a local singing competition). The experience was quite eventful. Even though my journey was cut short I realized what I could do with my voice, and the impact it had on an audience/ this gave me the courage to continue, and so I decided I can go even further.

 

I auditioned for a Global Event. If I could do that on a local platform, imagine what I could possibly do on a Global Stage. So I auditioned for WCOPA - Team Jamaica 2025. I plan to go further with my talent, and connect internationally, networking with industry professionals, who can give me the tools to take my art to the next level. I am looking to become more educated, through this process, about my craft, even more-so than I am now. I am looking forward to this journey.
